Ensemble Dundee pop-up

For five days – Thursday 18 to Monday 22 October, the Scottish Ensemble‘s world famous ensemble will be taking up in residence and popping up across Dundee…

With pop-up performances in The McManus and Overgate Shopping Centre, there’s also a late-night screening of Murnau’s iconic 1926 film version of the legend of Faust with a live score for strings and electronics created by Scottish DJ Alex Smoke – the live musicians will provide the eerie soundtrack to this gothic masterpiece.

The Ensemble will also be performing in concert at the Caird Hall, including works by Mozart, Schumann, Purcell with a special piece by Britten – Les Illuminations, one of his best known works which will feature the Scottish tenor, Thomas Walker, complemented by live visuals from video artist, Netia Jones.
