Treat yourself to a Fife pop up experience

treat‘s four day Craft Pop-Up Experience comes to St Andrews, from Friday 16 November to Monday 19 November 2012. Created by Fife Contemporary Art and Craft as a brand to highlight the work of Scottish contemporary craft artists, this event showcases some of the best talent around…

This pop up gives you the chance to enjoy selected high quality craft from across Scotland, meet the makers, and also discover the stories behind their work. It features the work of: Zoe Duthie, Vikky Higginson, Roisin Connolly, Angela Pointon, Joanne MacFadyen, Gavin Burnett, Lowri Davies, Cefyn Burgess, Hilary Grant and Emma MacLeod.

The Meet Your Makers event on Monday 19 November, include events with ceramicist Angela Pointon and jeweller Roisin Connolly in the morning, and ceramicist Gavin Burnett and jeweller Zoe Duthie in the afternoon. They’ll discuss their work with FCA&C Director Diana Sykes and Craft Scotland CEO Emma Walker.

The informal talks will take visitors through the works on display and consider how the pieces were created. Each session lasts 45 minutes and is free to the public. Spaces are limited and can be pre-booked at www.treatmeetyourmaker.eventbrite.co.uk or phone FCA&C 01334 474610.
