Creative Dundee

Massive May Thanks

Update: photo feature from the Design Festival available here.

What a great week this last week has been, and indeed the whole of last month of May was. With so many activities happening across the city we just wanted to take the time to thank those who made it happen and made the buzz across the city so good.

It would be pretty impossible to attribute and acknowledge everyone for everything, however if you were involved in any activities over May then you should be pretty proud of what you’ve helped achieve. So to all exhibitors, volunteers, performers, speakers, workshop leaders, attendees and everyone involved behind the scenes making things happen – we say a huge thank you!

Here are some great pieces about the events in The Scotsman, BBC and The Courier; and a couple of our highlights from the very many:

Dundee Design Festival – a huge amount went into making this happen, well done everyone! We want to say a special big thanks to the great Dundee Design Festival team, including: Stewart Murdoch, Siôn Parkinson, Anna Day, Annie Marrs, Andy Truscott, Leanne Roberts, Jennie Patterson, Old School Fabrications, Angela Dunphy, Leisure & Culture Dundee and Fleet Collective, for creating a brilliant first ever festival.

Remembering Witch’s Blood – all the amazing actors, singers, performers and technologists who put on this eerie but brilliant production, almost 30 years on from its original performance. It was great to see many people who performed in the original promenade production in the 2016 version.

Ignite Dundee and The People’s Tower – wow, great stuff Claire Dow, and also Christine Palmer, Olivier Grossetete and the rest of the massive team that brought this spectacular creation together and also the hundreds of people involved in building and demolishing the arch!
