Shaper/Caper debut 13 – a chilling performance about smart tech

SMART Corps are delighted to announce the unveiling of our new range of hyper-smart televisions – the SC13. With voice control and face recognition technology, the SC13 range is the smartest way to enjoy your favourite re-programming.  SC13 sees the unveiling of BYTE – our new integrated SMART Assistant.

SMART Corps are excited to be re-educating the world of entertainment, reforming the connection between screen and brain, washing away the past and introducing the new.

You are invited to the FREE launch evening on Tuesday 8th November at 7.13pm.  The launch will take place at Factory Skatepark, 15 Balunie Drive, Dundee DD4 8PS.  SMART Corps look forward to nibbles with you. Book your free tickets here or simply turn up for a 7.13pm start.

(Please note: SMART Corps would appreciate if you would please ignore the latest media comments about the malfunction of several of their televisions.  Fierce competitors have launched a vicious, biting attack on their products and SMART Corps would like to reinforce that customer safety is always in their control.)

13-3

13 is the culmination of a year-long project called Cmd Shift, funded by Creative Scotland’s TTS.Digital Fund and delivered by Dundee based dance company, Shaper/Caper, which is led by Dundee born multi-award winning choreographer and the first ever Artist in Residence at BBC Radio 2, Thomas Small.  This show is created, devised and performed entirely by young people aged 8 to 25. Over the year, young people in Dundee and Aberdeenshire have taken part in weekly workshops to explore the meeting point between physicality, performance and digital.  Shaper/Caper have led intensive workshops during holiday periods to introduce digital artists from Fleet Collective and other associated artists, including animator, Retchy, who has created bespoke interactive animations for the show.

Shaper/Caper have worked closely with partners Factory Skatepark and Youth Arts Collective North East to reach young people of all ages and backgrounds.

Please note this is a promenade performance so please wear comfy shoes and be prepared to walk…..and maybe run!
