THING THING is a manufacturing studio practicing in Detroit. Established in 2012, they design processes to work intuitively with materials and methods usually reserved for industrial production. Thing Thing makes experimental design for exhibitions, collectors, and consumers – oftentimes using recycled plastic and lo-fi industrial machines. Rachel Mulder and Simon Anton are two of the groups founding members.
