Arcadia is a grassroots celebration exploring independent, alternative, and experimental play in games, spaces and cultures. You will have access to talks and workshops from leading local and international creators as well as a night time warehouse party with amazing music and incredible games at the West Ward Works factory. No just for for those interested in games, this is a fun and unique cultural happening in the city which we, here at Creative Dundee, throughly recommend!

The daytime conference on Friday has an impressive lineup of international speakers covering a range of topics from games design and development to advocacy and cultural impact. Special guests include industry leaders like Brie Code, to local games developer Albert Elwin and the original Grand Theft Auto design team! In the evening We Throw Switches will have transformed West Ward Works into a fun environment for great music and even better games

Mal, form Biome Collective, told us: “It’s been great putting this exciting program together and working with amazing partners across Scotland. We have something for everyone, from game developers in the city to anyone curious about games

Andrew from We Throw Switches: “A big part of what We Throw Switches is about is putting amazing, independent work into cool spaces, so we’re super excited about the Arcadia Warehouse party. The planning for it has been wild, and it should be a really nice mix of incredible, beautiful games, great music, and lovely people. We’re really looking forward to it.

You can book your tickets for day time (8th and 9th) as well as the warehouse party (8th), together or separately. concessions are given to students and self-employed attendees. Don’t miss this fun, insightful and one-of-a-kind event & bring your friends!
