Creative Dundee

Funk Fair With Local Vintage Dealers and Designers

Based in Edinburgh in 2004, Funk Fair is billed as ‘the coolest fair in town’ and ‘a funky twist on the traditional antique fair’ by I-on magazine and ‘the best place to buy presents for that indescribably cool friend of yours’ by the List magazine. Being a local lass to Dundee, the organsier is bringing Funk Fair to the Queen’s Hotel in Dundee this Sunday and is looking to make it a regular event.

High-end vintage dealers showcase stunning clothing and jewellery, furniture and collectibles with a selection of makers selling beautiful bags, hats and accessories.

Along with Edinburgh vintage dealers and makers, Gladrags of Forfar will be joining Funk Fair as well as The Frockery, Kate Pickering of Vanilla Ink Studios in Dundee, Kathleen of The Sassy Hatter in Brechin  and Jody from Falkland with her amazing upcycled furniture!

As we’ve already posted, Bunty and Bella’s Big Boutique Bash is happening on this day too; so there is double the excuse for all the vintage fiends and design followers to get their cool Christmas presents from independent, local dealers and makers in the one day!
