DJCAD Graduate features on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year

Local artist and Fine Art graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Sharyn Agnew, will be featured on ‘Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year’ on Tuesday 10th November at 8pm.

The show features a competition where artists battle against one another to be crowned ‘Landscape Artist of The Year’, and receive a £10,000 commission which will be added to the National Trust’s permanent art collection. Expert judges of the show include Tai Shan Schierenberg, Kathleen Soriano and Kate Bryan and the series is filmed in association with The National Trust in a number of the charity’s famous properties and locations.

The aim of the programme is to discover talented artists of all capabilities, whether they are amateurs, professionals or hobbyists, and see them paint some glorious settings across the UK’s landscape. Watch the preview below to get a taste of the programme.

In addition to being featured on the show, Sharyn has an exhibition at Tin Roof Collective on Tuesday 10th November from 5-7pm and Wednesday 11th November between 12 and 6pm.
