Q&A Event with Botis Seva

Scottish Dance Theatre welcomes award winning London-based Botis Seva, a freelance dance artist and Artistic Director of dance company Far From the Norm, to an informal Q&A session hosted by Artistic Director Fleur Darkin at the Hannah Maclure Centre. Botis will give an insight into his working process in creating TuTuMucky and his experience working with Scottish Dance Theatre dancers. Earlier in the week, the July 11, Botis will be leading a workshop at Dundee Rep Theatre. His repeat visit comes as a result of the very positive feedback received last time he was in Dundee.

Botis works collaboratively across forms and adapts his artistic practice whether working with professional companies or within the community dance scene. Botis’ work has a strong spiritual foundation and draws on both contemporary and experimental Hip Hop techniques blurring the lines between contemporary, physical theatre & hip hop. If you are interested in dance and different strands of its professional practice, this is a good opportunity to learn more and have your questions answered.

Botis Seva was awarded the Bonnie Bird Choreography Fund, Marion North Mentoring Award in 2015 and has since won the two largest international choreographic competitions: Choreography 30 in Hannover, Germany and Copenhagen’s International Choreographic Competition.

This event will take place at:

July 13//7-8pm//Hannah Maclure Centre//Free Tickets

Tickets can be collected from Dundee Rep Theatre on the day of the events before 4 pm or at the door before the event.

As well as the the two events in Dundee, be sure to check Botis Seva’s work online!
