Masters Degree Show ’18

Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design’s Masters Show celebrates transformative design and visually stunning art from eight of the UK’s most innovative and exciting postgraduate courses – MSc Animation & VFX, MFA Art & Humanities, MFA Art, Society & Publics, MDes Comics & Graphic Novels, MSc Design for Business, MSc Forensic Art & Facial Identification, MSc Medical Art and MSc Product Design.

Amongst many fascinating installations, you can find pieces like Lee Haxton‘s who described his work: “Inspired by George Orwell’s novel 1984, ‘Don’t feed the Proles!’ is a suite of interdisciplinary, multimedia artworks drawing aesthetically from the graphical worlds of Futurism and Russian Constructivism

Or Serena Manganini‘s stunning visuals: “The impetus behind my work is to represent the often painful gap between “soul” and “physical body” while valorizing the sublime that stems from this duality. Being aware that we are made of flesh and bones, in fact, is a thrilling and a terrifying experience at the same time

The show will be open between August 18-26, but you can go along for the preview on Friday 17th at 7pm.
