Creative Dundee’s website is an essential part of its work and presence in Dundee. We are now looking for designers to help us update the website! It currently hosts creative news from several backgrounds across the city, video features (from interviews to the entire archive of Pecha Kucha Dundee talks), essential information about Creative Dundee and key guides of cultural life in the city.
Over the last 11 years, Creative Dundee has been at the forefront of digital innovation with a website that both caters to its local and global audience, and suits the needs and projects of the team behind it. For this reason, we are commissioning a website update tailored specifically to the organisation and Dundee’s creative community.
The current format of the website works well for the team and suits the types of the content we publish. The redevelopment should maintain those aspects while also updating the website in terms of aesthetic and accessibility. In this process of redevelopment, the selected designer should get feedback from different groups of the Creative Dundee community in order to gain insight into the most valued and important aspects of its digital presence.
From this design update of the website we aim to achieve three key outcomes:
- A series of consultations with key sections of the Creative Dundee audience, community and team to establish and then execute improvements that can be made to better suit their needs on the website.
- A refresh of the website layout that is in keeping with Creative Dundee’s existing brand. An upgrade that is fit for purpose to support all aspects of Creative Dundee’s current work, fully accessible while delivering a website that is at the forefront of design and digital innovation.
- An easy to use and low maintenance final product which maintains the ways the team can currently have control over the content that is posted.
