Cooper Gallery Open Call: Singers

Cooper Gallery are currently planning an exhibition, titled The Pleasure of Expense, with award winning artist Jasmina Cibic. For the exhibition opening Jasmina is developing a new live performance, as part of a major commission of new work, and is looking for three female singers to participate in it.

Singers will be singing live and, at times, interacting with sculptural objects within the exhibition during the performance. This is a paid opportunity working with Jasmina and a composer. They are looking for three female identifying singers who can read musical notation and are comfortable to work closely with the artist and composer to rehearse the new score. Singers must be comfortable to sing in public in front of a large audience. They are looking for, at least, one Soprano.

Key dates

Rehearsals: Monday 14, Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 October (times tbc)

Live Performance: 17 October, 5.30–7.30pm

Please reply with your interest to exhibitions@dundee.ac.uk and where possible include a full length portrait and no less than 30 seconds of video/audio footage of you singing a piece you feel confident with.
