Britain’s favourite comic The Beano turns 70 in July, and we’re
hosting the official anniversary exhibition featuring a wealth of
original artwork and memorabilia never before seen in public.
All your
favourite characters will be included, from Lord Snooty and Little Plum
to the Bash Street Kids and Dennis the Menace – as depicted by
legendary artists such as Dudley D Watkins, David Law, Leo Baxendale
and David Sutherland. The exhibition, which is being created in
association with D C Thomson & Co Ltd, will be on show in the Lamb
Gallery 18 July – 20 September.
