Cultural Enterprise Office has launched Fashion Foundry, a new business incubator and talent hub for fashion and textile designers in Scotland. The hub, based in Glasgow, offers a great deal for the sector, Scotland-wide.
And as there are a number of superb textile and fashion designers operating in Dundee and the surrounding areas, we hope that there will be strong local representation at the Foundry!
Focusing on the luxury market, Fashion Foundry offers 18 months business incubator support to 10 of the country’s most promising designers, giving them the confidence and skills to maximise their creative and business potential. This support will be complemented by a series of industry events open to the wider fashion community, encouraging a specialist network for the sector in Scotland.
Ten places are available which are open to applicants from across Scotland: six places with studio residence in South Block, Glasgow and four places without studio residence.
Applications are invited from both start up and established businesses focussed on developing their business in designer fashion and textiles for the luxury market.
The incubator is open for applications until midday Friday 20 July 2012 and full details can be found on Cultural Enterprise Office’s website: www.culturalenterpriseoffice.co.uk/fashionfoundry
Led by Cultural Enterprise Office in association with Wasps Studios, Fashion Foundry is funded by Creative Scotland, with additional support from Scottish Enterprise.
