Abertay University and Dundee Science Festival have launched a call for makers for this year’s Dundee Mini Maker Faire, taking place on Sunday 10th November 2013.
Maker Faires are run around the world and are a great way for makers to come together to celebrate arts, crafts, engineering, science and DIY projects – this will be Dundee’s first mini Faire.
They are looking for inventors, creators, DIYers and crafters of all sorts to take part in the event – a celebration of ingenuity, creativity and fun! Dundee’s Mini Maker Faire will be showcasing makers from all across Dundee and the Northeast, as part of the Dundee Science Festival.
They’re looking for a wide variety of makers to exhibit at the Faire, from techies to crafters and everything in between. Maybe you fix secondhand bicycles in your garage; maybe you hack electronics to do new and interesting things. Maybe you have a secret recipe for the best compost ever, or you create jewellery from recycled materials. Whatever your strength, they invite you to join in by getting involved – the first step is to fill in their online form.
The call for Makers is open until October 2nd, although as spaces will be snapped up, they’d appreciate if you apply sooner rather than later.
