Paid Graduate Internship – Marketing and Events coordinator with Vanilla Ink Studios.

Location: Dundee

£7.65 per hour, part-time (minimum 20 hours/week) for three months. This role will be home-based with regular meetings. Days of work are flexible.

Closing date for application is on the 7th May 2014, 5pm.

ABOUT VANILLA INK;

Vanilla Ink is Scotland’s leading incubator ‘pod’ for start-up jewellers. Based in the heart of Dundee, we aim to promote, support and facilitate Britain’s new designers. We think there is a difference in making jewellery and being a jeweller, that the difference between having a dream and making it real is understanding the market and your place in it. Our one year programme has been designed to support the transition from education into industry; providing expert professional development workshops, tailored one to one mentoring with industry professionals and a fully equipped workshop that allows the up and coming jeweller to hone their skills.

Founded in 2009 by Kate Pickering, Vanilla Ink is now an award winning business and has gone from strength to strength, gaining support and recognition locally and nationally. Now in its second year and the next programme is in full swing. Vanilla Ink is proud to present to you the Inkers of 2014 in their up coming End of Year Show.

Vanilla Ink seeks to employ a Marketing and Events coordinator to help organise and run this years End of Year show due to be held in Dundee from the 19th of September 2014. The tasks are as follows:

REQUIREMENTS;

The ideal candidate does not need to be Dundee based, however knowledge of the city would be beneficial. They will have a background in marketing, with strong demonstrable experience of events management. Experience in strategic marketing campaigns and of successfully managing different social media channels and engagement through social media content would be beneficial.

Strong communication skills, both oral and written are a must, as you will be liaising with different types of people. Strong organisational skills and commercial awareness are also essential for the role. An interest in Jewellery would be advantageous.
