Draw Paint Classes

Artists, Kim and Lara Scouller are running new Draw Paint Classes aimed at all levels and ages, focusing on developing drawing and painting skills whilst promoting health and wellbeing.


Weekend Summer Landscape Painting 10am-5pm
Where: Camperdown Country Park, Dundee
23rd and/or 24th August
£20 per classJoin them for a fun weekend of “En Plein Air” painting and enjoy the outdoors while exploring Dundee’s most treasured park. These classes, taught by artist Kim Scouller, will help develop your approach to painting landscapes in watercolours and other drawing materials. If the weather takes a turn for the worse an alternative location will be sought. Suitable for all levels.Evening Painting Classes 6.30pm-9pm
WASPS studios, Meadowmill Dundee
25th to 29th August or drop-in
£100 for 5 evenings or £20 for drop-inChoose to paint over 5 evenings or drop-in for a taster session – ln these classes led by artist Kim Scouller, you will learn to prepare surfaces, colour mixing and different paint handling techniques. You will be encouraged to make painting sketches on different scales working from observation. More formal elements of making a painting will be explored through colour, tone and composition. For all skill levels. All materials provided.

Friday Animal Drawing 10am-2pm
Bell Pettigrew Museum, St Andrews
29th August
£15 per classJoin artist Lara Scouller at the Bell Pettigrew Museum for some Friday Animal Drawing. Lara will give you a unique insight into her approach to animal drawing from this zoological collection. In this class you will be encouraged to develop your observational skills making studies of the many curious birds and animals that live there. Suitable for beginners and all levels. All materials provided.

Explore Dundee’s Botanic Gardens 10am-4.30pm
Dundee Botanic Gardens
29th and/or 30th August
£20 per class (this includes entry to the Botanic Gardens)Join artist Kim Scouller at Dundee’s Botanic Gardens where you will work in situ in the glasshouse and gardens using drawing and painting to explore the diverse flora and fauna. This class will focus on looking at structure, proportion, composition and tone and is suitable for all levels.
