LUX Scotland invites you to the inaugural meeting of the Dundee Critical Forum. This new forum joins a series of self-led LUX groups in London, Glasgow and Dublin, which provide a space for the discussion of moving image work.
This monthly forum aims to provide an opportunity for artists working with the moving image to share, discuss and develop their own ideas and practice through presenting moving image work by other artists and filmmakers, and read texts they are interested in.
Our inaugural meeting will be an opportunity look at some work, discuss the format of the group, schedule the next meeting, and to meet other people who share an interest in moving image work. Isla Leaver-Yap and Luke Collins (Director and Project Manager of LUX Scotland) will guide the meeting, as well as inviting a couple of people from the Glasgow Critical Forum to talk about their experience of the group over its two years of running.
We hope you’ll be able to join us and the DCA have scheduled our meeting so we can attend the Heather Phillipson exhibition opening afterwards.
If you are unable to attend but would like to hear about future events please use the contact form on the LUX Scotland website to get in touch: www.luxscotland.org.uk/contact
