Etsy the online marketplace for handmade and vintage, comes to Edinburgh and Glasgow for a weekend of maker events, 8-9 November 2014.
They will be holding free maker events on Saturday 8th (The Gayfield Creative Space in Edinburgh) and Sunday 9th (The Lighthouse in Glasgow) to introduce Etsy as an accessible and supportive route to market for Scottish designer-makers. Their Etsy ‘Teams’ (self motivated community groups of Etsy sellers) from Glasgow and Edinburgh will be there too, to meet new people who might be interested in joining their local network.
Each meeting will feature three events:
1pm – Start on Etsy: Thinking about opening an Etsy shop? Get inspired and learn the keys to success with Etsy admin and local sellers.
2:30pm – Cake and chat: Join Etsy staff and local seller groups for cake and chatting! Meet other Etsy sellers in the area and find out about events and opportunities for the coming year.
3:30pm – Seller Meet Up: Existing sellers on Etsy are invited to stay for an hour of Q and A, discussing 2015 plans and how to optimise your existing Etsy shop.
