Join the campaign to bring PURE EVIL to Dundee this Halloween.
Verdant Works is currently undergoing a massive re-development, by restoring the High Mill just next door. The project, open to the public in August, will create dynamic new public spaces for a wide range of learning, cultural, artistic and community events in Dundee.
One event that they really hope to put on needs you! Verdant Works is one of only 4 museums in the UK to be picked by the internationally recognised graffiti artist, PURE EVIL to go head to head in a public vote.
If Dundee has the most votes after the deadline then PURE EVIL will transform the High Mill for one night only – with light, projections, sound and sculptures!
We think Dundee’s idea is by far the best of the 4, as they have invited Pure Evil to use their collections and archive to explore the themes of Invention, Engineering, Power and Politics in the renovated Mill. Based on one of Pure Evil’s artistic principles, they’ll ask young people to ‘WEAR THEIR POLITICS PROUDLY’; collaborating with local collective Projector Club to create an immersive sound and projected light installation.
Please do make sure you vote to get the chance to take part in a magical art happening in Dundee, that you have helped create.
High Mill needs your vote to make it happen…
The voting closes on Sat 16 May 2015 – votes will then be counted and the successful museum will get their night of Evil!
