Dundee Print Collective‘s latest project, Edition Three launches on 17 December at WASPS Meadow Mills. The preview event runs from 7-10pm and coincides with Dundee Print Collective’s second birthday, so there will be celebrations along with a soul and funk DJ set by ‘johnakajohn’, drinks and nibbles.
The exhibition is then open on Sunday 18 December from 2:30-4:40pm and Monday 19 December from 2:30-4:30pm.
Edition Three will feature a whole new selection of limited edition artworks from forty talented individuals from all different backgrounds. All of the limited edition prints are for sale for £20 on a first come, first served basis – so best to get there on the preview night!
Scott Hudson from Dundee Print Collective said, “Dundee Print Collective was formed in 2014 and has had five major projects, exhibiting nationally and internationally. In two years it has brought together artists and individuals with no artistic training, into the Dundee Contemporary Arts Print Studio to work on collaborative print based projects. The only parameters to every project have been a design spec of a particular size of print and a limited amount of colours, usually one colour plus black, which has led to the creation of bold and exciting bodies of work. To date over one hundred people have printed limited editions with the collective. Dundee Print Collective will continue to encourage people from different backgrounds to engage with printmaking as a medium for self expression, education and social engagement.”
Dundee Print Collective was formed by a group of Dundee based artists to promote printmaking as a medium that is creative, inclusive and educational. Keep up to date by liking Dundee Print Collective on Facebook, and by following @printdundee on Twitter.
