Hospitalfield is an artists’ house which runs an international programme of residencies for artists across art forms. Their regular contemporary arts programme is anchored in visual arts and encourages interdisciplinary. In addition, they provide four public projects each year where they commission new work, and they also run an increasingly busy study centre facility which hosts events and residential groups.
Hospitalfield is looking for a creative individual with excellent communications skills who will work with them to devise, plan and lead the development of their volunteer programme. This post has been funded through NHS Tayside Community Innovation Fund and Paths For All.
The aim of this new post at Hospitalfield is to develop a creative approach to the development of their existing volunteer programme. Hospitalfield wish to reach more people and to involve them in a series of projects that will make the venue more connected to the town of Arbroath, the region of Angus and the people living locally.
The successful candidate will develop strategies to sustain their current volunteer workforce, grow a larger cohort of volunteers with a wider reach, and involve more people in the activities at Hospitalfield.

Salary: 25,000 pro rata
Length: 2 year contract

For the second year running, Hospitalfield is offering a partnership residency with Tottenham Hale International Studios in London. Artists from the DD postcode region around Dundee and Angus are invited to apply with a project proposal for the month long residency.
One of the key elements of the situation is that the artists will become part of the community of studio holders in Tottenham and will also help Hospitalfield host an exchange residency (a studio holder from THIS will also do a residency at Hospitalfield in the summer of 2017).
