Was originally set up in Dundee in 1977, the first ever Wasps Studio (they now have 20 spaces across Scotland), and in 1989 the studios moved to Meadow Mill where they house a number of artists, designers and creatives. Residents and members of the public can take full advantage of a project room and exhibition space which can be hired for workshops and exhibitions. @WaspsMeadowMill

GENERATORprojects

GENERATORprojects is a non-profit artist-run exhibition and project space that supports local artists. Generator has been a critical space for artists to show, discuss and develop their artistic practice over the last two decades. With regular shows, they’re just off of Perth Road, in Mid Wynd Industrial Estate. @GENERATORproj

Biome Collective

A creative studio, community and co-working space for people to create, collaborate and explore new frontiers in games, digital art and technology. They create interactive and multi sensory experiences for global audiences. Their unique and accessible games, interventions and installations span across digital, physical and cultural spaces. @biomecollective

The Print Studio

Based in Dundee Contemporary Arts, and has state-of-the-art facilities to create print, photography and digital work. They also run courses and pre-arranged one-to-ones for introductions to the equipment. Dundee Print Collective are also based there. @DCADundee @printdundee

Dundee Ceramics Workshop

A ceramics studio in the Blackness area of Dundee, offering a range of facilities including classes, talks, workshops and events. They work with artists, students, their members and the public to deliver their programmes and classes to anyone with an interest in ceramics; from total beginners to practicing ceramics artists. @DundeeCeramics

Chainworks Studio

Is an artist-run creative space based in the East of Dundee. They are currently home to five artists with a diverse range of practices.  Their primary aim is to provide affordable studio and work space for recent graduate and early career artists based in Dundee.

Dundee Comics Creative Space

A studio space developed by The University of Dundee in collaboration with The Rank Foundation. The aim of the collective is to provide educational workshops and encourage creative learning through comics. In addition to this, they have an incubator studio for recent comics graduates and provide guest talks with industry experts. @DundeeComicsCS

The Circle

Social entrepreneurs visit The Circle in Dundee.

A hub for charities, social enterprises, community groups and socially aware businesses in Dundee. They provide affordable offices, co-working and community space, as well as affordable meeting and event spaces. @thecircledundee

The Flour Mill

A co-work and serviced office space in the heart of Dundee. Their membership includes co-work space, studios and small offices. The Flour Mill has undergone major transformations however maintains the original heritage of the building. @CoworkDundee

Water’s Edge

A co-working space created within the historic Shed 25, one of the oldest buildings in the former Dundee docks area. Offices and meeting rooms are equipped with super-fast scalable broadband and computer-controlled lighting, heating and cooling systems. @watersedgeDD1

A number of creative businesses can also be found located in District 10 on Dundee’s waterfront, constructed out of 37 recycled shipping containers. Also, Vision Building, a former jute mill now full of businesses including: Outplay Entertainment, Ruffian Games, InGAME and Dundee Comics Creative Space. In Unit 3 you will find Biome Collective, NEoN Digital Arts and Creative Dundee to name just a few.
