Artist-in-Residence at Dundee Museum of Transport

Dundee Museum of Transport is pleased to announce its first Artist-in-Residence experience on 24 & 25 October 2020 from 10.00-4.30pm.

Kirstin Brown is a final year Fine Art student at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design. During her residency at the Dundee Museum of Transport, the artist hopes to bring some colour to the former slaughterhouse space by creating a small body of work inspired by The Future of Transport Exhibition opening this month. This will include paintings on board, watercolours, and collages.

The work will explore notions of motion, modernity, transport, and technology strongly influenced the poetry, painting and sculpture of Futurist movement.

Over the weekend you will be able to head along to find out more about the relationship between art, technology and transport and to see an artist at work! There will be opportunities for children to be involved through related artmaking activities. Kids under 16 receive free admission all October.
