Opportunity for an illustrator to create detailed hand-drawn work for a one-off artisanal book.

Calligrapher Jenni Liandu and bookmaker JuJu Books are looking for an illustrator based in or around Dundee to work in collaboration with them, a carpenter and a fabric-maker to create hand-drawn work for an unusual one-off project!

The project brief is to create a vegan, handwritten and bound version of the book for an author who has written a book about infinity and the universe.

There are nine illustrations required for the book that is to be drawn/painted by hand and then mounted into the final pages. The illustration skills and style must reflect an interest in scientific, detailed and realistic drawings.

This is a paid opportunity and the artist needs to be local to Dundee or able to travel to Dundee for meetings with the author. All final versions of the illustrations will need to be completed by mid-March 2022.
