Open Call: Stobswell Pocket Places – Public Art Commissions

The Stobswell Pocket places team are looking for artists to work with local business owners to create public artworks!

Stobswell Pocket Places is a collaboration between Sustrans Scotland, Stobswell Forum and Dundee City Council to engage local people and creatives in designing and delivering simple, quick and effective changes to Stobswell’s shopping district.

This public art project brief was born out of feedback received from the local community about what Stobswell means to them. Three artists are required to work with local business owners to design and create work to be painted on shopfront door shutters. There is a fee of £1,000 per shutter which will cover all costs related to the project.

All work is to be completed in time for a celebration event in May 2022. If you are interested in contributing to this community-driven project, read the artist brief for more details and how to apply.

Get your applications in by 17:00 on Monday 6 December 2021.
