Shaper/Caper and Dundee Pride have come together to present a joyful celebration for LGBTQ+ History Month!

This February OutFest will brighten up LGBTQ+ history month with a chockablock programme of creative events, workshops and discussions that explore what it’s like to be a queer person in Dundee right now.

OutFest is a collaboration between Shaper/Caper, Dundee Pride and some absolutely fabulous local partners including V&A Dundee, DCA, DJCAD and many many more! From pop-up performances to vogue workshops, employability talks for the creative industries to our Battle of the Icons TikTok challenge, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. There will also be a brand new community disco and the launch of a new-look version of Shaper/Caper magazine show The In/Out Crowd featuring some wonderful guests!

All spaces are FREE but must be booked in advance, keep reading for a taste of what’s to come this February!

• Restore and refresh your energy at the Chill Out Space, with guided morning mindfulness classes.

• The End? is a new digital VR show by Shaper/Caper that captures LGBTQ+ experiences collated during nine months of lockdown.

• Learn some voguing choreography and techniques, whilst hearing about its history at Come on Vogue, with Alex.

• Get down to Manhattan works for a boogie and to blow off some steam in a safe and sober space at the Discotheque.

• Say it Loud, enjoy making together and amplify your voice with a craftivism workshop at Dundee Contemporary Arts.
