Exhibition: Recent Acquisitions at the Tower Foyer Gallery

Get down to the Tower building and experience an eclectic exhibition showcasing some of the exciting recent additions to the University of Dundee Museum Collections.


University of Dundee Museum Services care for over 30,000 historic artefacts, artworks and specimens that have been acquired during the 140 years of the institution’s existence.

Celebrating the breadth of the Dundee University museum collections and with a focus on art and design, this exhibition features artworks from DJCAD degree showcases including recently acquired work by photographer and filmmaker Sekai Machache, upcoming Venice Biennale artist Alberta Whittle and multimedia artist Ade Adesina.

There are also objects relating to science, medicine and natural history including; A bronze cast of the hands of keyhole surgery pioneer Professor Sir Alfred Cuschieri, An early laptop used by flatscreen technology pioneer Peter Le Comber and Original comic artworks from Star Wars and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Open Mon – Fri 9.30 am-7 pm and running until Fri 1 April
