Creative Dundee

Workshop: Developing Inclusive and Sustainable Creative Economies

PechaKucha at Dundee Design Festival 2017

Everyone is invited to join this workshop exploring the past, present and future of creative and cultural policymaking in Dundee.

Open to all participants interested in Dundee’s creative economy. Whether you run a cultural organisation, are a freelancer, a policymaker, an audience member, or an interested citizen, be part of the conversation!

From April to October 2020, DISCE (Developing Inclusive and Sustainable Creative Economies) researchers met with and interviewed a series of citizens who are part of the creative economy in Dundee.

DISCE is a European Commission funded project involving 4 Universities examining 10 cities across Europe asking the question, what is an inclusive and sustainable creative economy and how can it be developed? Asking questions about all the different creative and cultural opportunities that took place locally and asking them to think about what an inclusive and sustainable creative economy would look like.

This workshop is an opportunity for DISCE to share some preliminary findings from the full research project and invites you to imagine the future of creative policy and planning in your city.  The workshop will take place on Microsoft TEAMS. Further details including the link to the online meeting will be sent in advance.

To register your interest, sign up for Thursday 20 January: 10 am – 12 pm or Tuesday 25 January: 2 pm – 4 pm
