Arcadia Night 2023

Arcadia Night 2023 brings together leading voices from the videogames industry for an evening of talks, games exhibition and performance.

On the evening of Thursday 2 February, Arcadia Night 2023 returns for an in-person event at Discovery Point Dundee! The evening will feature micro-talks from game developers, makers and thinkers from across the industry, an experimental games exhibition and a performance by Tinderbox Orchestra.

A great opportunity to learn, connect and play, Arcadia Night is an inclusive safe space and open to all from professional game makers to anyone interested in games. To maximise accessibility the evening will also be streamed on Youtube and in the Biome Gallery.

Arcadia Night 2023 has been organised by Biome Collective in partnership with Creative Scotland, InGAME Dundee and UNESCO City of Design Dundee.

Playful arts curator Zuraida Buter; lawyer and game designer Anzal Baig; curator and creative director Marie Foulston; game festival and events organiser David Hayward; UI Technical Artist Julie D Kennedy; game developer and maker Ally Low; Lead Designer at No Code Studio, Graeme McKellan; programmer and game developer Eoghan Mulvenna; producer, composer and artist Nick Murray; the British Esports Federation’s Women in Esports Manager, Billie Purdie; multi-disciplinary artist and immersive systems designer Shelby Smith; composer and sound designer Rachel Simpson.

Games Exhibition:

Experimental music-puzzle game CRT7; point-and-click art adventure experience HEAVY; free-to-play, post-apocalyptic racing game Tray Racers!; wholesome first-person climbing sim Valley Peaks.
