Submit your design to this pawsome opportunity, design a Scottie dog and help raise vital funds for Maggie’s Dundee.

In September 2023, 30 giant Scottie sculptures, all uniquely decorated by artists, will appear in an art trail through St Andrews and Northeast Fife coastal communities. They will be exhibited for 10 weeks, forming a fun, free, family-friendly trail for residents and visitors to follow.

After entertaining and bringing people together, the legacy of Scotties by the Sea will continue when the sculptures are auctioned to raise vital funds for Maggie’s.

Applications are now open for artists to submit designs that will transform the blank Scottie sculpture with individual artworks. Artists from local and regional communities are encouraged to apply, and designs are welcomed in any medium – from traditional to new media, fine art to illustration, graffiti, and mosaic.

Submission details:

• Artists may submit up to two designs that are appropriate for public display and a broad-range of ages.
• Subject to being selected by a panel, all designs will be included in a design portfolio which is presented to sponsors. Each sponsor selects their favourite design and if picked, the artist will then be commissioned.
• If selected, artists will receive an honorarium of £1,000 upon completion of the artwork.
