Opportunity: Burnieshed Residency

Escape to the country with the new Burnieshed Residency for artists – part of a unique wildland project in the heart of Perthshire.

The Burnieshed Residency is a project in the making located in the heart of Bamff Wildland, a family-run rewilding project in North East Perthshire. The project is early in development and will include a series of pilot residencies in spring/summer 2024, alongside public events.

The residency will offer artists the opportunity to live, work and explore in this unique location which has been turned over to nature. Artists are invited to use the residency to create new perspectives through artistic play and critical thought, and generate conversation and action that is hopeful, joyous, radical and funny.

The residency is open to individual UK-based contemporary art practitioners whose work has a focus on or relates to ecology. Artists who take part in the residency will be expected to present their work online and participate in the development of the residency through detailed feedback.

Participating artists will be provided a fee of £1,200 for a 10 day period, accommodation, studio space, and their transport fees covered up to £200.
