Volk Gallery celebrate their 5th birthday with Original Copy!

Volk Gallery are five! To celebrate, their July exhibition presents work from Dundee artist collective Original Copy.

Instructions Included sees Original Copy share a DIY exhibition kit, dismantling the idea that shows only happen within gallery walls, and instead encouraging folks to build, adapt and live with art in their own spaces. True to the shared ethos and spirit of Original Copy and Volk Gallery, each kit contains and platforms the work of one of three Dundee-based artists; Amy Crawford, Ala Lewandowska, or Cheryl McGregor.

Visitors can vend a kit for £3 before unpacking, stepping into the role of technician, and installing their artwork!

Volk Gallery is a non-institutional arts venue consisting of a repurposed nappy vending machine, Volk Gallery is hung in a publicly accessible location and a rotation of products are dispensed at a set price of £3 each. Works are completed by commissioned artists and change monthly.

Original Copy (OC) is an artist-led collective based in Dundee, creating exhibitions, collaborations and opportunities for creatives. In 2026, OC were part of the six-month Jupiter+ Dundee Legacy Residency programme, occupying and activating a space on Castle Street.
