Arcadia have opened applications for their new Creative Producer Meet-up! Bringing together a small cohort, this informal peer-learning programme will create space to share experiences and explore how creative work gets made, supported and sustained.

You do not need to have “Creative Producer” in your job title to apply, and they are looking for a diverse mix of participants with different backgrounds, experiences, disciplines and routes into the creative industries.

Topics covered across the programme will be shaped by the makeup of the final cohort and may include, collaboration, producing practice, developing ideas, building partnerships, commissioning, funding, budgeting, contracts, IP and more.

If you help shape, organise, grow or deliver creative work, projects or businesses, this programme is for you. Spaces are limited with a short application process – the deadline for applications is 12noon, Wed 23 Sep.

Programme format:

The programme will include six relaxed and informal sessions running between Sep–Nov 2026 with in-person sessions taking place at a central Dundee location. Sessions will take place on the following dates with a mix of online and in-person activity:

• Wed 30 Sep, 6–8pm
• Wed 7 Oct, 12–4pm
• Wed 21 Oct, 12–4pm
• Wed 28 Oct, 12–4pm
• Wed 11 Nov, 12–4pm
• Wed 25 Nov, 6–9pm

The programme is designed as a small learning cohort, so participants are asked to attend a majority of the six sessions. There is an understanding that freelance work and other commitments change, so the programme will be flexible and informal rather than rigid. Financial support will be available to help with travel, access costs and other practical barriers to taking part.

Applying for the programme:

• Spaces in the main cohort are limited to 8 to 10 participants.
• Applications will be reviewed by the programme team, with the aim of bringing together a diverse mix of people across disciplines, backgrounds, career stages and locations.
• The programme is open to people based in Scotland who are involved in making work happen. They are particularly keen to hear from people based in Dundee and the surrounding area.
• “Making work happen” is understood to include: producing, organising, developing projects, supporting artists, running events, building partnerships, freelancing, working in a startup, or developing a creative business.
• Applications will be considered on the basis of: what you hope to gain from the programme, the challenges you are currently facing, how the programme might support your development, your availability, and your learning with others.
