Fri 9 October – Sat 12 December at Cooper Gallery
Since 2021 The Ignorant Art School has critically and creatively recast the relationships between art and society, offering radical imaginings for socially transformative art education through a five chapter exhibition and event programme.
Cooper Gallery now invites everyone to join them for Jamming The Ignorant Art School, an experimental exhibition and event project bringing together the artists, provocations, and ideas that shaped this landmark five-year programme.
The exhibition will transform Cooper Gallery into an immersive ‘open classroom’ for deep engagement with the ideas and practices that have given The Ignorant Art School its critical rigour, revolutionary attitude, and emancipatory poise.
Inspired by the energy and improvisation of musical jamming, the accompanying events programme, Jamming Days, invites you to take part in conversations, activities and collective experiments. Join them to learn and unlearn, explore, contribute, and make space for different ways of knowing.
Jamming The Ignorant Art School will run from Fri 9 October – Sat 12 December 2026 (open Thu–Sat, 12–5pm).
