An exhibition comprised of work created in response to the question; “who do u think u r?”, opening this Friday at GENERATORprojects, and will then be open for the public until the 19 November, between 12-5pm. All contributing artists are recent Fine Art graduates from DJCAD, currently dealing with the post-degree-show identity crisis and trying to make their first steps in the art world and their adult lives.
This exhibition will look at this crisis as an opportunity for humour and self-reflection through an inherently millennial absurdist lens. Drawing inspiration from social media, pop culture and elements of fantasy and surrealism, these artists challenge the notion of identity by reimagining themselves in a variety of different
forms, spanning a wide range of media including video, performance, collage, sculpture and installation.
Featuring pieces from; Elizabeth Ann Day, Mhairi Cormack, Rachel McCreadie, Fk Mcloone, Megan Goldie, Steven Sheath.
