Hotchpotch will meet again on 18 March at Wild Rover Dundee. The full address is 144 Perth Rd, Dundee, DD1 4JW. Head downstairs from 6:30pm, and start at 7pm; come in even if you arrive late. There’s no charge and no need to book. The venue sells soft drinks, alcohol and food.

On the night, you can read out your fiction and/or poetry, or another writer’s work, for up to seven minutes. As people filter in, you’ll be asked whether you want to read, but there’s no pressure to do so; many people simply come along to enjoy the readings.

The Hotchpotch ethos is one of no judgement and no criticism. As long as it’s a creative piece, you’re welcome to play it safe or to try out something experimental. Nobody will give you a hard time, even if it’s a bit political or if you mess up.
