Creative producer and game designer Mal Abbas shares a new blog for the Historical Games Network exploring his complicated relationship with “Where are you from?”, national identity, and how games and popular culture have shaped his understanding of belonging and representation.
Creative Balance, the research and advocacy arm of We Are Here Scotland, have shared their first report exploring the wellbeing of racialised people working in Scotland’s creative industries. Finding The Radiance In Between: Reimagining Scotland’s Creative Spaces shares key findings from group interviews held across Scotland, highlighting isolation, financial precarity and tokenistic hiring across the industry, and sets out what artists say should exist in its place.
