n_ilk at The Botanics is an experimental Music and Arts festival that is taking place on the 12th September at the universities Botanic Gardens in Dundee, the programme will showcase a wide range of electronic and acoustic music from local artists.
Spread across two stages n_ilk at the Botanics will include artists such as:Esperi;
Araya; Debutant; Edward Shallow; Jon William Adam; Peg; Poacher and
Ghillie; Panda Su; Samoyed; Second Hand Marching Band; Starling and
Wish I Was Weaver.
Many of these artists have played some of the
larger festivals this season. The two headlining acts are Jo Mango
and Frog Pocket, both exceptional talents with a hugely popular
following. Alongside the music programme there will also be wide
range of arts events running throughout the day including an art
cinema programme, nu_ art & craft stalls, live performances and small
installations.
On site there is a licensed coffee shop, toilets and car parking. A
free bus service is available for students from the Dundee University
Students Union. The event is open to all and patrons are advised to
arrive early as the music will be starting promptly at 4pm.
Tickets are £5 are available from Grouchos (with a 50p booking fee) or
from the n_ilk myspace page. Proceeds from the event will be donated
to the Botanic Garden.
