Join Dundee Dance Partnership and Dundee Rep Creative Learning on a unique journey through Dundee’s City Centre, which has been inspired by the rich history of dance in the city.
On Saturday 14 July, starting off at The Shore, approx 100 performers from community and professional groups will take you on a 90 minute journey full of dance treats through City Square, along Reform Street to McManus Galleries, performing work inspired by the city and its long love of dance.
Along the route you can expect to see archive footage and photographs from old Dundee, dance films and installations, live music from local band Huva, and hear stories of how dance has played a part in Dundee life over the years. At the McManus they will be showcasing popular Dundee dances over the years and you can even have a go at your favourite moves!
Tickets for Dance Walk are free but limited. Please book in advance through Dundee Rep Box Office on 01382 223530. The event at McManus is free and non ticketed; just turn up on the evening.
