Next year, 2013, is a special year for Maggie’s Centre in Dundee as it’s celebrating 10 years in the city. Frank Gehry’s beautifully designed building, coupled with this worthwhile cause has encouraged us to spread the good word – if you could do a lil’ turn on the catwalk next March, do read on…
Face of Freedom 2013 is an annual creative fashion and hair show, but it is much more than an ordinary catwalk show. Models are brought together from different backgrounds – some through the Face of Freedom competition; and others through attending Maggie’s Centre in Dundee, because they are living with some form of cancer. The event held next March gives everyone who takes part great confidence and an opportunity to do something a bit different. If you are interested in being a Freedom model you should visit their site here.
Pauline Brown of Freedom says: “The people of Dundee continue to be generous and extremely supportive of what we do. The team are extremely passionate about the creative talent in Dundee and want to embrace the wonderful changes that are happening here. Exciting times!”
Watch the below video from this year’s event to get a true flavour of what it’s all about, we doubt you’ll be able to resist getting involved after watching. More information about the whole initiative can be found at www.freedom-hairdressing.com or their facebook page.
