The Centre for the Moving Image (CMI) is running a series of workshops and networking events across Scotland to develop the skills and expertise of film professionals working in film skills, film literacy and film education. As part of the Screen Gurus initiative, the first workshop and networking event will be in Dundee on October 23rd.
Screen Gurus is a network of individuals and organisations working in film education in Scotland. It provides the opportunity to share knowledge, identify and develop skills, and broaden contacts. Each workshop will focus on a different skillset and be led by professional trainers; after the session there’s an evening drinks reception – a great opportunity to meet other interesting people.
The first session focuses on developing training skills – understanding learning skills, designing and delivering training programmes and evaluating their success – and will be led by training specialist Teresa Dolan. The second workshop and networking event will take pace in Inverness on Wednesday 7th November, with further events being held in Glasgow and Edinburgh in the new year.
