Applications are open for Hospitalfield’s Autumn Residency Programme which runs from 1 – 30 September 2013, but you better get applying as the deadline for applications is Monday 20 May 2013 5pm.

Those applicants selected will be notified on or just after 12 June.

This is a funded programme and is open to application for artists who would benefit from a period of research and production.

There are 6 places available on this programme.

3 bursaries of £3,000 are available for production projects.

The production bursaries are being made available to artists who have a specific project that they would like to complete during the residency at Hospitalfield. This may be a project that is already started and requires support for completion or you may have an exhibition that you need to complete work for. Your application must clarify that the residency setting is the best place for the development of your project, please address the following questions within your application, to help the panel better understand how best to support your project :-

3 bursaries of £1,000 are available for artists who require the time to research and develop an idea or project.

Please use the application as an opportunity to describe the importance of this opportunity to the development of your practice. Why is the residency setting at Hospitalfield the right working environment for the development of your work now?

Single occupancy full board accommodation provided with all full board costs covered.

Contact details: Please ensure that you include your contact details on your covering letter, postal and e mail address and land and mobile telephone numbers.

Statement: Please write a statement of no more than 2 sides of A4 giving us some background on your work and how you will use your time at Hospitalfield. This should not be hand written.

Images and documentation: Please provide up to 15 images of your work or examples of film / video (no longer than 10 minutes) this might be a show reel or documentation of a performance or installation.

C.V: Please also include a C.V. no longer than 2 pages of A4

Once complete: please e mail your application to residencies@hospitalfield.org.uk or by post to Programme Manager, Hospitalfield, Arbroath, DD11 2NH, Scotland.

Please put in the subject line ‘AUTUMN RESIDENCY’ or mark this on the envelope.

Applications arriving after the deadline will not be considered.
