After their success of the first AnSo Live Screen Printing Event, Glasgow based design organisation, Analogue Social are very excited to host another live screen printing event, as they bring the AnSo Live Screen Printing Event to Dundee for Print Festival Scotland.
On Friday 30th of August 2013 Analogue Social will host an evening of live screen printing, followed by a two week exhibition in Meadow Mill, Dundee. They are currently looking for members of the Scottish design community to submit work to be printed at the live screen printing event. The designers of the chosen entries will be given screens (pre-exposed with your work), inks and other material so you can print the designs on the night. You do not have to have any screen printing experience as experienced printers will be there to help. See below for more details:
On the evening, there will be live screen printing, DJ, a bar, and the finished work will be immediately hung, creating an exhibition which will run for the following two weeks.
Members of the Scottish design community are being asked to submit proposals for work to be printed on the opening night. Eight designs will be chosen to be printed, the designers of chosen proposals will print their designs live on the opening night. The live printing night is also a great opportunity for the designers involved to collaborate and create new and spontaneous works. This collaboration and the creation of contacts within the Scottish design community, are values important to Analogue Social and its goal of helping to develop the Scottish design community.
Anyone can submit work, whether novice or advanced screen printer. On the night all screens will have been prepared waiting for the designers. Experienced screen printers will be on-hand to help those printing.
