About JACK(et)
Launched in early 2013, JACK(et) is a range of customised menswear. As the name suggests, the range largely consists of jackets which are embellished with everything from beads, embroidery, and patches to piping, customised buttons and lettering. All embellishments are hand-sewn by Jill and each JACK(et) is entirely unique. And we mean unique. The items produced by Jill for JACK(et) are utterly unlike anything on either the high street or the catwalks and distinguish themselves from many couture items in that they are stylish, eye-catching and extremely wearable. Jackets from JACK(et) allow the wearer to feel that not only are they ahead of the curve trend wise but that they are also the owner of a work of art.
About Jill
Jill has a first class honors in Interior and Environmental Design and a Masters Degree in Fine Art, both gained at Duncan of Jordanston, Dundee prior to which she was educated at Bell Baxter High School while growing up in Fife. She has freelanced as a visual artist since 2007, worked for the costume department of Dundee Rep and is on the curatorial panel of WASPS Meadow Mill Studios in Dundee. When not creating jackets and art and jackets that are art, Jill likes nothing more than hanging out with her daughter and their jackadoodle on one of the many beautiful beaches near their Scottish home.
