Scottish Dance Theatre would like to invite performers, artists, designers, musicians, and other creative groups from Dundee, Tayside, and beyond to submit proposals for participation in their mini-festival, PARK, part of Scale, a pioneering, ambitious, multi-strand public art project!
They are very keen to encourage local participation and so welcome proposals from nearby residents and groups to deliver activities, performances or interactive events on the day. They are able to offer a designated space and time slot, inclusion on all of their print/marketing materials, and are anticipating a large audience on the 6th July!
For 24 hours only on 6th July 2014, a Linbury Prize winning design transforms Dundee’s City Square into a lively and visually-stunning pop-up park. They invite everyone aged 0 – 99 to join the party for a day-long festival, featuring live performances by world-class musicians, artists, and performers.
In this initial stage of proposals, you need only to communicate your interest in becoming involved with PARK and a rough outline (1 page or less) of what activity/event you would intend to run. From here Scottish Dance Theatre will review the applications in order to achieve a broad range of art forms and will be in touch by mid-April with those selected. They will then be able to discuss the practicalities and organisation of your proposed event in more detail. They are hoping to include a wide range of arts and community based events and look forward to hearing from you.
Proposals should be received by the 28th March 2014.
