Vanilla Ink Beginner’s Jewellery Course

DSC_0023 copy
Over the last two years, Vanilla Ink has put Dundee and Jewellery Design well and truly on the map. Vanilla Ink has supported 17 new starts from all over the UK in its Dundee Meadowmill studio. Scottish Jewellery Week was also created this year by VI’s founder, Kate Pickering and again saw people from all over come to the city to explore SJW’s packed programme.
Vanilla Ink is now running an 8 week Beginner’s Jewellery Course, where you can learn all the basics. VI’s in-house resident, Robin Bell (aka theweerobin) is teaching the course and will show you many techniques to create finished pieces of jewellery, all hand-made in their beautiful and bright jewellery studio.

The first 4 weeks will be technique based – where you will learn to solder, saw pierce, doming, hammering, texturing, cold connections, etc and the following 4 weeks will be spent focussing on your own designs with one-to-one tutoring.

This class would be a great opportunity to make unique gifts for yourself or someone special. You will also have the opportunity to move up to intermediate level in the new year.
