Once again Wasps Open Studios are open across the country, which means Meadow Mill is open to the public on 18th and 19th October 2014. The studio is open 12noon – 5pm both days. Full programme listed below:
Thursday 25th September, Meadow Mill Projects 2, 4th Floor, 6-7.30pm
Dalziel + Scullion and Fashion Designer Tracey Stewart will talk about their recent project Tumadh: Immersion commissioned for GENERATION by An Lanntair in Stornoway and Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh. The artists will make a short presentation which will be followed by an opportunity for questions and answers.
Tickets are free of charge but very limited in number please book via Eventbrite.

Sculpture Workshop, Meadow Mill Projects 2, 4th Floor, 1.30-2.30pm
Young people from Perth and Dundee’s GENERATION co-production groups will undertake a sculpture workshop with sculptor Trevor Gordon. Visitors are welcome to come along and watch their progress.
Please Excuse Our Mess: Workspace in Progress, Meadow Mill Projects 2, 4th Floor, 3-5pm
Designers Sooz Gordon and Linsey mcintosh will be facilitating a “Please Excuse Our Mess” workshop which will invite visitors of all ages to drop in and collaboratively create a temporary spatial installation that reflects their visions for an ideal creative workspace.

Join Delia Baillie as she talks about her painting practice within the fascinating setting of her studio.

A Talk from Louise Ritchie, Studio 410, Fourth Floor, 2-2.30pm
Join Louise Ritchie for an informal talk about her studio practice. Louise will explain the motivations and techniques behind her work and how she uses the studio day-to-day.

Tea Green Pop-up Shop
Come along and explore a selection of work by artists based in Meadow Mill. All works have been specially selected and presented by Tea Green.
Guided Tours of Studios 1pm daily (duration approx 1.5hrs)
Guides will be on-hand to take you on a tour of the studios of selected visual artists. Opportunities for questions and answers will be provided.
Ms Battenburg’s Travelling Tearoom will provide refreshments including tea, coffee and delicious cakes.
Bear Hunt, a children’s activity across all floors: a fun treasure hunt activity for children of all ages spread throughout the building.
