Whether you are in your final year and have an innovative new idea; or have identified a gap in the market where your skills and experience can bring something new; or have established a new creative business in the last year and could do with some support to help get things off the ground – you might want to consider applying to Starter for 6.

The Starter for 6 programme is run by Cultural Enterprise Office and offers 4 training workshops, support and the potential of a grant investment of up to £10,000. Applications are open to anyone in Scotland with training workshops taking place in Dundee.

It’s worth looking at the criteria before applying – they are looking for innovative ideas; for example this could be a completely new product; or an interesting new business model. You can take a look at the network of past Starter for 6 businesses to see the types ideas and businesses that have been supported in the past; and hear first-hand how the support has helped the individuals who have been through the programme to grow their confidence, business skills and meet a great network of likeminded people.
The application deadline is: midday on 12th January 2015
