There’s a new opportunity to be part of one of Dundee’s longest standing cultural organisations, The McManus: Dundee’s Art Gallery and Museum, through becoming part of their supporter group, McManus 168.
The McManus has been at the heart of art and culture in Dundee since opening in 1867, and continues to be a gateway to thousands of inspiring objects and artworks.
168 local contributors helped bring the museum to life nearly 150 years ago. Now they are delighted to launch McManus 168, their new supporters group.
McManus 168 is a group of enthusiastic people of all ages brought together with a common purpose to support, celebrate and be part of McManus, the city’s cherished local treasure!
The group will have exclusive behind the scenes talks and access to the massive collections at the McManus, which also includes the Collection Unit at Barrack Street; which has everything from birds to butterflies, coins to costumes and fossils, to international artefacts and even human remains!
In 2017, The McManus will celebrate its impressive 150th anniversary, the McManus 168 group will be the first to hear about the plans and contribute ideas to the programme.
As ‘one’ of the McManus 168 group, you will:
• gain behind-the-scenes access to collections
• be invited to exclusive talks and family events
• be the first to see our new exhibitions
• create supporters events
• input into the McManus 150 anniversary programme
• be part of an exciting new community at The McManus, who share interests in art, culture and history and a love of the city of Dundee.
